Custom Links and Profiles
RippinH2o has created a user friendly dynamic interface to create and maintain Custom Links to your website and a Profiles section to create a more informative return to our users when they search for links. Using Active Server Pages and a Database our search returns target the link catagory and return information more accurately focused to the search. For example Surf Shops can be searched by State, All States, or Country.
A search for shops in a particular state will return only shops for that state. This type of search reduces the clutter that is returned using a Boolean Search term in a Search Engine. For example a search for "surf shops in florida" will return all records containing the words surf, shops, and florida in the return resulting in thousands or records to sift through to find what you are looking for. Many of the results are not even related to what was searched for,
the word shops will return all types of shops whether they are surf related or not. Our approach of building a directory of surf related links reduces the unrelated returns making it easier to find what you are looking for. Our Catagories are:

Custom Links
Our Custom Links are designed for WebSite owners and Webmasters to add a link to this site that is more than just a link. We allow space for a description of the site. When a search is done in a search engine using keywords links are returned with a brief description of the website. These descriptions are usually the contents of the META Description tag if it is included on the page when indexed, or the first 255 characters or less from the first paragraph of the page. These descriptions are usually shortened and incomplete. It is from these descriptions that the user decides whether or not to take the link and visit the site. Our Custom Links allow you to create the content of this description to best suit your needs. This gives the user a better idea of what your site has to offer. The Custom Links are displayed at the top of the pages with the search returns, above the standard links we and our users have added to the site. Our searches are catagory driven, ie: a search for Surf Shops returns only links to Surf Shop Websites and information about shops without websites. Shops without websites are listed last in the returns. If you have a Surf related business and a Website you should add a Custom Link for your site. The best feature is these Custom Links can be edited at any time. If your site changes or you would like to change the content of the description to drive more hits to your site you can log in and edit the link as often as needed. If you have a Surf related business but do not have a Website then you should consider adding a Profile for your business to our site.(see profiles below)
It is quick and easy to add a Custom Link to our site for Your Website. Your link and description can be edited at anytime. External links to your site increases your "Link Popularity" which will help your site score higher in search engine returns. All of our links are updated to the Static Link pages on the site, creating these External Links. This allows the Search Engine Spiders to find the links and index them in their databases.
Profiles
Our Profile Sections expand on the Custom Link by giving you a one page "mini website". In addition to the ability to create the content of your site's description we also allow you to create a page with pictures, paragraphs of text, several links to your site, and the choice to display an email address for users to send mail directly to your mailbox. The photos have a place for a caption and alternate text as well. The alternate text is displayed in the image placeholder while the image loads and when the mouse is placed over the image it is displayed again. The paragraphs are large enough to give the user as much information about your site necessary to entice them to visit your Website. Multiple links allows you to link to more than just your main page. You can use the links to take the user directly to pages within your site. If you have an online store or perhaps a form to request more information about your products and services you can link to that page, saving the user time and effort. The more convenient it is for people to access your site the more likely they will choose to visit. As alway this is a FREE Service of our site.

The more information you enter on the form the better return your link will have when visitors search for links on our site. Links added by our visitors are classified as Premium links and will be listed on the top of the results page.
